A+E Interactive – How The Sims 3 plays on Console
A short but sweet preview of The Sims 3 on Console from the EA Summer Showcase 2010 event held recently (they also cover Crysis 2 – just scroll down to the Sims part):
Elsewhere in The Sims 3, players can create furniture, homes and characters and upload them to the network. That’s a first for consoles and it falls into the play, create and share vibe that’s been pushed on consoles. It’s not exactly novel to the platform, but I’m glad to see that the feature made it in. As for expansion packs (something the franchise is known for), the fact that most consoles have hard drives opens up the opportunity for this. Executive producer Sam Player wouldn’t comment more on that except to say that players shouldn’t be surprised if they see add-on content for The Sims 3 on consoles.
