TheSims3.com – How to redeem the code for the Limited Edition Pets Shop
Thank you for purchasing The Sims 3 Pets Expansion pack for The Sims 3. We know that you want to play your game as soon as possible to enjoy life with pets but we wanted to give you some additional information on how to get your exclusive Pet Store.
- Install your The Sims 3 game first!
- Register with your game with The Sims 3 Community – Go to www.thesims3.com/register in your browser or click the “Sign Up Now” button on the Game Launcher if you haven’t already registered. If you have already registered with The Sims 3 Community, you will still need to register your game via your “My Account” page (found on https://www.thesims3.com/myAccount.html).
- Once you have registered your game, you’ll see a link to install the items from your Purchase History page (found under My Account on store.thesims3.com). The pop up link will not make any mention of the Limited Edition content, but rest assure it will show up in your Purchase History page. You do not need to take any further action to obtain your exclusive items.
- Locate the item on your Purchase History page and click install**. This will launch the game and install your item.
**It may take up to 5 minutes for the item to appear on your Purchase History page.

This is so frustrating! I have a Sims account. I’ve registered my game(s). It shows as registered on the ‘my account’ page. The only pop up was for a dog bed…that I’ve downloaded thinking maybe since there is no mention of the limited content that it is embedded in the dog bed.
So-in addition I try downloading the special code from the red flyer in the Pets but that doesn’t work either…I just get the dog bed again.
I have waited twenty minutes (did several hard refreshes) and I am not resting ‘assure’ because the content does not appear in the ‘purchase history’ page.
Cross my fingers and start the game (again) to check in the launcher to see if it is there somehow. Or if it is ALREADY in the limited edition (Jebus-wouldn’t that have been a FANTASTIC idea? Rather than have people jump through hoops?) but it isn’t.
So yeah…I’d like a pet store, but the process is not intuitive or is not working properly. Frustrated! I don’t *think* I’m an idiot, I’m employed, not drunk, worked as ‘helpdesk’ for years at a fairly well used website if Alexa’s top websites list is accurate.
Is there a secret handshake I’m supposed to use or something? I do a pretty good Sorrell Booke (pauses….RIP) imitation if that gets me in the club.

if anyone is keeping track: the pet store did show up over twelve hours later. I don’t know if it had anything to do with the showing up, but I had restarted my computer and when I checked it was there.

hey guys ive already registered my game, but i cant seem to type in the code given for the limited edition store.. any ideas why?

I have the same problem, and plus it says the code I’ve typed in is incorrect while I bought a limited edition sims 3 pets game and yes I’ve tried 10 times and double checked but the code doesn’t work at all.. I’ve bought the game at the local game store and I used the code from the red paper thingy that says Exclusive material limited edition that is included in the game..

Why do you have to sign up for this kind of stuff it won’t let me use anything i type in!!!
