New Outerwear Category on TS3 Website
Thanks to Siminoid on TS3 Forums, we now know that there will probably be an Outerwear category somewhere in the future. Possibly EP8?
What do you think it means? Do you think this links to EP8 possibly being Seasons/Weather.. or maybe something else?

The Sims 3 Supernatural with Seasons? It’s a probability too.

Probebly means possibly the store may start putting out outerwear and our games will be updated via the diesel stuff pack patch.
Just because we don’t have seasons don’t mean the store won’t start putting out outerwear.
Then again maybe they’re going to have weather in supernatural. We won’t know until the press release. I mean when you think about it all it has now is new lifestates and beekeeping.
Why not add weather and swimming in the ocean to enhance it?

Definitely holds more water than that “rain wear” thing from the WA martial arts uniforms. I don’t think there’s really any reason to put up the outerwear category so early other than to give us a hint that weather will be coming after Supernatural. Having weather and magic in the same EP may not sit well with a lot of players, especially if EA doesn’t include options to prevent the whole town from turning into supernatural creatures.

Exciting news! I so hope Seasons is EP8, I’m happy for the people that like Supernatural but I’m not that excited about it so I really want this to be next.

The biggest thing about weather this time around is I’m having a hard time seeing it being in an EP on it’s own. With Sims 2, it worked in an EP on it’s own. It not only added weather, but added fishing and gardening. Maybe I’m not thinking hard enough, but I can’t see much that they could package with weather, that we don’t already have, that would justify it being a full fledged $40 EP.
And wasn’t there a comment from someone working on The Sims 3 Late Night that they were working on weather, but didn’t add it to Late Night because they wanted to make it better?

I have a slight feeling that weather might be included in supernatural. I mean look at the start of the trailer, there was an effect like lightning.

The thing is, now that the product page is up, I’m really doubting weather will be with Supernatural. You’d think weather, something a large portion of the community wants, would have at least a mention on the product page.

I don’t think weather will be in this Expansion. We’re still dealing with EA. They know we want a Seasons EP, so they ‘d rather create a whole expansion pack around that subject. Simply because it’s extra $$$. I know for sure weather will be the NEXT EP after this one. There are so many clues and hints, so I think there is no doubt weather is coming ‘soon’.

I actually feel like this will be the first EP in a while, that’s not trniyg to get teen girls through gimmicks. First thing I noticed in the trailer, was it didn’t have some crappy real life to Simlish music playing in the background. I am an 18 year old male, and am greatly looking forward to this pack!
