Inspiration for fairies, according to Hulin, comes from, “hundreds of fairy tales from around the world as well as from more recent pop culture references.” More specifically, they sound like an amalgamation of the kind and benevolent fairies from, say, Cinderella, and the more trickster-like fairies represented by Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. A kind-hearted fairy could grant bonuses to your fellow sims’ skills and moods via auras accumulated by basking in moonlight. Additionally, such a fairy could use their natural predisposition for nature to grow plants, creating verdant gardens. Using your abilities can also yield unexpected benefits as your fairy levels up, such as Fairy Repairs, which allows you to shrink and fly inside an object to fix it.
