Designer’s Blog: Take Your Sims To The Movies
March 7, 2013 in Sims 3 Store
SimGuruTaterTot has posted a blog for designer Alan Copeland about the brand new store venue which will be available today on the Sims 3 Store!
Designer Alan Copeland writes in detail about the latest venue – Le Cinema Plumbob – available on the Sims 3 Store on March 7th.It seems like every town has one of those great old places to catch classics from the silver screen. You may have seen these movies dozens of times on TV, but there is just something about seeing them in that environment that really makes the experience especially memorable. It’s particularly trendy right now for some theatres to provide more of an upscale environment, serving drinks, having loveseats to snuggle up with your date and providing a bit of VIP exclusivity. This is the type of experience we hope to emulate for your Sims with our latest venue, Le Cinema Plumbob.

Island Paradise

Wow, this is almost like a mini Open For Business EP!
The question is will it be too expensive like everything else has been on the Store?
The real question is…will it actually work like a theater or will I have to have this and the rabbithole theater in my hood? It looks awesome and I’d love to be able to build my own theater in place of the rabbithole, but not if I lose the careers and classes.
This is definitely going to be expensive, so I won’t buy this right away, but it sounds like it could be interesting. The ticket machine especially sounds cool if it works. You could make sure that you won’t have a bunch of elders at hip clubs and maybe make a senior center or a teen hangout.
Little disappointed theres no popcorn available! how can u have a cinema with no popcorn!
Things They Didnt Tell You!
I just bought the Cinema, you cannot purchase anyfood, except from the fridge they have there. There are no assistants serving sims drinks as the pics show. We have to serve ourselves.
The films r exactly what u ur sims watch on TV. There r Very Short!
Of course, it’s just Store.. what did you expect?
@ JohnBigOz
A bit more than that LOL good job i dont shop there often.
It’s the Store, I never expect too much from them xD
Boy, they could have bothered to at least clone a Late Night bar instead of a base game one. Then you could have bought food from it and there would have been someone to serve you. I guess I won’t get this now. It seems silly to have two theatres in a town with one not really showing movies.
