Twallan, developer of the Nrass mods, has announced today that he will no longer be developing/updating his mods for The Sims 3. Twallan had previously announced that he would also not be developing any mods for The Sims 4.

As a parting gift, he has released the source code for his mods so that anyone interested can continue developing his mods.

As most of you have noticed, the amount of time I have been able to allot to my work on the Sims has been steadily decreasing over the past few months. There are numerous reasons for this : Ranging from changes in my real-life work, increasing disinterest in Sims, and various personal concerns that have been building up over the past couple of years.

I had hoped that my interest would once again be piqued over the holidays, however unfortunately that was not the case.

So rather than continue leading you all on as to when/if I will ever complete any further projects, I have decided to end this grand thought experiment as of now.

With that, I would like to thank you all for making my time in the Sims 3 world a satisfying experience.

How does this affect me?
If you use Twallan’s mods in-game then you’ll experience no problems with the current game update, version 1.63. However there is another game update coming soon and this update, and any other future updates, will potentially break some of the mods. It will be down to you to decide whether you continue to use the mods when this happens.

A huge thanks to Twallan for all of his work over the years and BeyondSims wish you all the best for the future.
