SimCity Societies “Big Announcement” is this week

I found this message posted on the official BBS of the SimCity Societies site. SimLeaderKB claims that there will be a huge announcement coming this week about the game, probably pertaining to bug fixes and added features. Here’s what they had to say.

Hi folks,
We know there is a lot of anticipation for news on the next game update, and the SimCity team is just as anxious to announce what we’ve been working on for the last few weeks. In fact, we are extremely excited and can’t wait to give you the news. We are putting the finishing touches on the official announcement, and we’ll proclaim it far and wide next week.

For now, for the loyal SimCity forum community, here are a few details… there is a new game update coming. It’s a large update, with many new features and enhancements. Its contents are based on the many requests from the fan base. It is the first in a series of updates.

Truth is, this should of already been announced right after the game came out… Even though everything is good on my end, for many it is not. I’d love to see an active community going with Societies, but with things are right now, it is looking very slim.
